On 6th March 2026, the FIDEM Foundation held its 4th annual conference under the theme “Give to Gain: Building a Balanced Future for 21st Century Work and Life,” highlighting the urgent need to modernise Malta’s outdated work policies.

Hosted at The Xara Lodge, the conference was attended by Ambassadors, Members of Parliament, Policy Makers, students, teachers and members of the public representing the private and public sectors. 

Through two panel discussions, attendees explored the visible and invisible challenges shaping today’s workforce, drawing on real-life experiences from individuals across different family and work contexts.

This was followed by two interactive workshops, where participants collaborated to identify necessary changes at personal, organisational, and national levels, and to propose actionable recommendations.
