ISMA' ĦABIB is a dedicated space facilitated exclusively by men, for men.
Launched by FIDEM Foundation in October 2023, this initiative was established to provide a dedicated and confidential space where men can come together to openly discuss their concerns, challenges, and lived experiences. ISMA' ĦABIB grew as an independent, non-denominational, inclusive support community providing a practical solutions-based approach to managing mental health issues within a shared experience of resilience and hope.
Sessions are held on the first Thursday of every month and these are led by a final-year counselling student, working under the supervision of an experienced practitioner, who has completed placements with key therapeutic support services in Malta, ensuring an open and supportive space for all.
Each session is guided by a specific topic that will be communicated in advance. Depending on the topic and format, sessions will be delivered either online or in person.
Men, from all walks of life, are encouraged to attend, participate, and engage in a supportive, respectful, and collaborative environment.
