Elle Pisani, the winner of the FIDEM Foundation’s 2025 Drawing Competition, visited our offices together with her parents to receive her Certificate of Achievement and meet the team at the Foundation.
Elle, an 11-year-old student at St. Monica School (Birkirkara), was selected as the winner of the competition that was open for those aged 11 – 15 years. Participants were invited to draw someone or something they would imagine hanging out with, with submissions judged on self-expression, empowerment, and respect.
Her owl illustration stood out among many high-quality entries, that was also captioned with the meaning behind her artwork “You’d hang out with an owl because wisdom isn’t flashy – it's calm, patient and observant. It shapes you into a better version of yourself”. This was selected as the perfect inspiration for a future FIDEM Foundation mascot.
During her visit she met with Managing Director Judith Valletta and members of the FIDEM Foundation team who explained the Foundation’s mission and daily work. Elle shared her love for art and explained that she particularly enjoys working with oil pastels. Art is one of her extracurricular activities, and impressively, this was the very first competition she entered and won.
We were delighted to welcome Elle and her family to our premises and once again congratulate her on her wonderful achievement.
