On 26th June, the FIDEM Foundation celebrated the successful completion of its SKILL UP programme, recognising the achievements of women who graduated after completing the course held between November 2025 and June 2026.
Designed to remove barriers to education, the SKILL UP programme offered participants free learning, as well as free transport and childminding services, enabling more women to pursue personal and professional development while giving them a second chance to upskill and unlock new possibilities for their future.
Addressing the graduates, FIDEM Foundation Managing Director Judith Valletta praised the participants for their commitment, resilience and determination throughout the seven-month programme. She emphasised that the journey was about much more than earning a certificate, highlighting the personal growth, friendships and supportive community that developed along the way. Valletta also encouraged the graduates to view this milestone as the beginning of new opportunities, reminding them that, through FIDEM Foundation's Educate to Empower programme, eligible participants can continue their educational journey with further support.
The ceremony also featured addresses by Dr Sabine Agius Cabourdin, Founder of the FIDEM Foundation, Ms Emna Fraou, Content Marketing Lead at Alberta, and Mr. Justin Paul Anastasi, Founder of Laeden Bridge, whose companies were two of the three principal sponsors and whose support made the initiative possible.
FIDEM Foundation also expressed its sincere appreciation to Betsson Group, whose generous support, together with that of Alberta and Laeden Bridge, enabled the programme to be offered this opportunity.
During the ceremony, certificates were presented to all graduates, while students who achieved first, second and third place were also recognised for their outstanding performance. Thanks to the generosity of Il-Palazzin Hotel, the top-performing students were presented with gift vouchers.
